In 1983 he established the Chase Elastomer Corporation specifically to supply rubber compounds and provide technology to his industry.

The Chase name, already known for technical expertise, quickly became synonymous with quality and service. Small and large roller companies alike were able to draw on Chase resources, enabling them to compete against the best in the industry. The business grew quickly and captured the vast majority of sales of rubber to the US roller industry.

Among the technologies Chase brought to the market place is a family of soft roller coverings for high speed web offset printing presses. These compounds possess excellent dynamic properties, thus overcoming major roll failures due to hysteresis, or heat build-up. Another outstanding accomplishment is that essentially the entire product line of rubber compounds is suitable for use in extrusion.
